Dinah Perez is an elite entertainment attorney based in Los Angeles, California who represents clients locally and globally. She practices law in the areas of film, television, social media, publishing, and music. Her clients include corporations, limited liability companies, talent management companies, motion picture, and television producers/production companies, writers, composers, directors, actors, production designers, record labels, publishing companies, recording artists, Internet companies, and creators of new media content.

Dinah Perez attended Loyola Law School and has been in the practice of entertainment law since 1996. Ms. Perez has written legal articles for a variety of periodicals such as Story Board Magazine, Release Print, Surfview.com, Legalserviceindia.com, Mecfilms.com, and Findlaw.com. She has been quoted in Entertainment Weekly, Wired Magazine, Wired.Com, and How to Make It in Hollywood. She was interviewed by John Scott Lewinski for his books, Alone In A Room and The Screenwriters Guide to Agents and Managers.
She has written chapters on The Legal 411 for Screenwriters and The Legal 411 for Producers, for the Hollywood Screenwriting Directory and Hollywood Producers Directory published by F & W Media and published The Legal 411 for Producers and The Legal 411 for Screenwriters on Amazon Kindle.
LEADERSHIP, MEMBERSHIP & HONORS
Dinah Perez is recognized by peers and was selected to Super Lawyers for 5 years in a row from 2019 – 2023. This selection is based on an evaluation of 12 indicators including peer recognition and professional achievement in legal practice.
Ms. Perez has participated in panels and/or spoken at the Black Hollywood Film Festival, the Latin Heat Film Festival, Hawaii Songwriting Festival, ASCAP, Screenwriters World Conference, Beverly Hills Bar Association, Scriptwriters Network, Writers Digest Conference West, and Cinewomen.
She is a member of Film Independent, the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP), the Copyright Conference (CCC), the California State Bar, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association. She was a founding board member of Cinewomen in Los Angeles.
BACKGROUND
Ms. Perez is fully bi-lingual in Spanish. In addition to her English-speaking clients, she provides legal services to Spanish-speaking clients from South America, Mexico, and Spain.
