Q
When should I hire you?
A

It’s best to hire a lawyer at the beginning of any legal process and certainly prior to signing any agreement. It’s preferable for you to hire me early enough that I can negotiate the agreement for you. In the event that you need to settle a dispute, it is best to hire me as early as possible and prior to coming to an agreement with the other party. Please refer to the Practice Areas section of this website for a list of the transactions I handle.

Q
Do you provide free consultations?
A

I will gladly provide a consultation to anyone who is actively seeking to engage the services of an entertainment attorney. I view the consultation as a way for us to get to know each other and assess whether we are a good fit. Consultations do not include responses to random legal questions.

Q
Do you make submissions?
A

I will make an attorney submission to any company that will accept one based on your pitch, however, I do not shop material for my clients.

Q
Do you work on a percentage basis?
A

I normally charge an hourly fee. I will consider a percentage based fee if there is a deal on the table large enough to cover my legal fees.

Q
Will you give me a discount?
A

In the interest of fairness, I charge all my clients the same fee.

Q
Can you bill me on a flat fee basis?
A

I offer a flat fee for business entity formations, copyright registrations, trademark applications, and production legal services only.

Q
When do I pay you and how?
A

I require an upfront deposit prior to commencing my services: the deposit is a function of the number of hours I estimate are required multiplied by my hourly rate.  The deposit may be provided via check, wire transfer, or PayPal.

Q
Can I get a refund?
A

Any deposit monies that are not used will be returned to you upon request at the conclusion of services.
